Complimentary Review Copies

Core textbooks designed for use as primary course material and are available on a complimentary review basis to faculty for course adoption consideration. A minimum of 20 students is required to receive complimentary review copies. A limit of two titles per course, and a limit of 10 complimentary review copies per calendar year per faculty member, is required in order for us to be able to continue to provide high-quality texts at affordable prices.

60-Day Examination Copies

Textbooks designed for use as supplemental course materials and are available on a 60-day examination basis to faculty for course adoption consideration. They can be reviewed, risk free, for up to 60 days. Should you adopt a book in our 60-day exam program for your course, please contact customer service at 1-800-818-7243 within 60 days and provide us with the following:

  1. Invoice number of your order
  2. Name of the faculty member teaching the course
  3. Name of the institution
  4. Course name
  5. Enrollment
  6. Name of bookstore through which the adoption order is placed, if any.

After notification of adoption, we will update your customer record to reflect that the 60-day exam title has been adopted; the text is then yours to keep and use in teaching your course as a complimentary desk copy. If for some reason you decide not to adopt the text, please choose one of the following options:

  • Return the book to SAGE in saleable condition (postage is the responsibility of the customer) along with a copy of your original order confirmation notice;
  • Or pay the amount indicated on the order confirmation notice that you received along with the book.

If after the 60-day exam period you have not contacted and notified us of your adoption, or returned or paid for the book, SAGE will send you a reminder invoice statement that your account has an outstanding balance.
